The concept of event photography is very broad. These can be (festival) performances, theatre, dance, stand-up comedian, circus…. Of course it is important to have professional photos of it and not smartphone snapshots. Good photos give an added value to the event, otherwise it will be soonforgotten. You can of course also use such images before or when announcing a next event.

For me, event photography means capturing the right moment, capturing the atmosphere in a style that matches the uniqueness of the event and the organization involved. I always use low light; this is photography without flash light so that the natural light and, above all, the atmosphere is preserved.

An important point as an event photographer is that you move discreetly between the guests. You don't stand out and like that you can also  take the most beautiful photos.
In concert photography this plays an important role for both the musicians and the audience. Sometimes the 'three and out' rule applies. This means that the photographers may shoot the first 3 songs and then have to leave the room. But when I am allowed to be present all the time, I adhere to a certain etiquette. In quiet passages, you stop shooting so as not to disturb the music experience. I move to different positions so as not to disturb the same spectators. And I only move during the applause.

As a client you will receive all rights to the selected recordings from me. These images are optimized and include the author's name. They measure 1400px (or 37cm) on the largest side and are perfect suitable for publication on all social media. You are therefore free to use the photos, but, unless written permission from the author, the following restrictions apply:

  • you may not resell the images commercially
  • you are not allowed to change the images
  • if the name of the author is not mentioned on the image, you must mention it with the publication

We live in a digital world, which means that the photos of an event must be available quickly. Depending on the complexity and quantity, this can take from one day to one week. By appointment, some photos can be delivered faster.
